Two weeks have already passed and I´m a little bit sad this experience is gonna end in 6 weeks, which, I’m sure, will pass as quickly as the first two weeks. But let´s change the topic for something more pleasant 🙂
Last Saturday we went for our first trip. The destination was Porto. We didn’t know that we’ll see more than that during our 3-days trip. But let´s start from the beginning.
We left Lisbon at 8 and reached Porto around 11.30. Then we walked around the city to a place where we were about to meet our host. He picked us up and took us to Vila Nova de Gaia (or just Gaia), where he lives.
Gaia is a city located south of the city of Porto on the other side of the Douro river, by the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a great place for people looking for peace.
Porto, on the other hand, is a turistic place. Smaller than Gaia but definitely more crowded (of course more crowded during times without covid) and known. It’s a very lovely place, but still Lisbon is my number one 😀
The next day we went to a place we didn’t even think about going to – Guimarães. The place where Portugal was born.
Despite the bad weather we had during last two days of our trip, the trip itself brought us lots of laughter and I can’t wait for the next trip. ??
