There is a very simple saying in Spain that says, “El tiempo es oro, y el que lo pierde es un bobo” something like the time is very valuable, like gold, and if you do not take advantage is because you are stupid, or is a light way of saying stupid.
Well, I’m back to the blog to tell you that it’s been almost a month since I arrived in Portugal and since I started to be a EVS volunteer at Rato – ADCC. It’s been almost a month of adaptation and change, of meeting new people and also my colleagues workers in the office of Rato, whom during this month have been coming drop by drop because several of them were working out. Of trying to catch up with work, trying to speak Portuguese, but all I get is falar “Portuñol”. The preparation of Spanish classes (for those who still do not know, I’ll be the teacher of the next course of Spanish language next month, so everyone come to join, ¡Venga!); of praia afternoons, evenings of beer, sightseeing and much more…
So I think I can say I’ve used this month in Portugal, not as I would have liked, because as some people say here jokingly; “Eu sou pobre, eu não tenho dinheiro” so I have to find ways to save little more for the next few months. Anyway, I just hope I can continue to use each day of this new experience, learn a little more each day, and certainly not become a ” Boba ” for failing to take advantage of every minute.
Have nice weekend!
