Olá a todos, fala a Sarah !
This week-end was a long one. We had tuesday off because of the Assumption of Mary.
Before this, since Júlia – one of our short-term volunteer – was doing her last day in RATO, we had a shared lunch with the remaining people in the org that were not on vacations. We were not a lot but sometimes, it’s better like this. When we share lunch, we stuck the tables together and we can all eat and talk. It’s fun. We got to mock Nuno with the top 10 sentences he says everyday. I don’t think he even realized this, and I do think there is more than 10 anyway.
We spent almost all week-end with Júlia. On monday evening, we went to Ginjal to pick-nick and watch the sunset. Júlia wanted to go for the last time there, as it’s a place she really enjoyed during her stay.
We stargazed a little and then we went home.
The next day, we took it a little slower because she had to pack. We decided to go to Lisbon because she wanted to enjoy the street, the vibe and the view one last time. When we came home, we all waited for Nuno until 4 AM and then he came to pick her up and we said our goodbyes.
This adventure is making us used to goodbye. While it’s becoming less and less difficult, it also serves as a reminder that you will go through this process of leaving yourself. If not now, soon at least. And you will be the one people say goodbye to, while they stay in the place you’re leaving from. What a strange feeling !
Anyway, this was the news… Até ja!
