Olá ! It’s been two weeks since I last posted. I’ve done longer break than that so let’s ignore that fact.
Festa de Corroios has started on friday 18. On the first day, all of the organization was on site. We could finally put the arcade game to use. In oder to play games, the people could give the amount of their choice as long as they inserted a coin, just like any arcade place. The amount will then serves as a donation for the organization.
Not long ago after we came, there was a motorcycle parade. People were really excited. There was a really good vibe; you could smell smoked meat, churros and food of all kind. We counted almost 15 churros place in the entire fair. It’s been so long since I’ve been in a place like this. I think the last time was in my city and it was many years ago.
We laughed a lot that night, as if we were also a part of the people coming here to have fun. Finishing at midnight was not so bad either.
Then, for the following days, we had to take turn at Festa, so the group dynamic changed every night. Yesterday was my last day there, I was with Laura, Miguel and Gonçalo. We were visited by the CPC and Nuno came in-extremis to speak to politicians in his Nuno-way. That was an interesting moment.
After this, I went home. It was a nice evening and it didn’t feel like work at all. I think the fair is far from over, but my turn there is. Now, we’re getting back to a normal week and soon, it will be the return of workshops of all kind in the beginning of september.
I can’t believe the summer passed that fast. Let’s see what those next month have in store for me !
