Hello everyone, my name is Giulia Civitella I am 24 years old, this year I turn 25, and I come from Italy, in particular from La Spezia, a city near the 5 lands, and so near the sea. I have just started my internship here in Portugal, through the Erasmus Traineeship project which will last 6 months, and I am very excited about this new experience, so for 6 months I will be here in Rato.

You may wonder why I chose Portugal….Well, to be honest, I can’t live without the sea,.
I’ve already had an experience abroad, in Austria, so in a very cold place, and as much as I enjoyed and loved that country, it is not the same without the sea.
The sea gives you another energy, another air, another feeling, so when I had to choose where to go, my only goal was to choose a place with the sea, no matter where it would be.
These months, my goals include…
- Travel
- Meet new people
- Learn Portuguese (which I hope will be easier than German, which I obviously couldn’t learn)
- Throw myself more into new experiences
- Learn the right directions of the transportation without getting lost
- Come back home with a lot of memories
The phrase that I always repeat to myself when I am confronted with new experiences. is : If not now when?
