Hello people,
My week started very nicely because on Monday, Francisco, our mentor, took us volunteering at a food bank (we had to wake up really early) and then on a tour of the area.
First we went to Lagoa de Albufeira and saw the waves from the beach nearby; then we headed south to the Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel. And, before going to have lunch in Setúbal’s shopping center, we quickly passed through Sesimbra.
After lunch we observed a very indecisive tourist trying paragliding from Serra da Arrábida and then headed to Azeitão to try the original Tortas de Azeitão directly from the place where they were invented, Pastelaria Cedo. I’ve noticed that portuguese people really like their eggs since they are featured in a lot of their traditional desserts.
We concluded our trip by admiring the ocean once more from the natural park of Mata dos Medos.
The rest of the week passed quickly between Portuguese class, my usual work, Mimi’s sewing machine workshop and super fun activity organized by Agenda Nacional de Juventude and rain. A lot of rain. Laranjeiro basically turns into a water park.
Saturday we had another drinking and chatting session, except this time it went on until 5 in the morning and I lost my voice. Needless to say, Sunday was spent calmly resting and cleaning at home.
Bye bye,
Sofia
PS. I finally figured out the key to WordPress’ font size!!!!!
