Bom dia everyone!!
This week has been almost as energy draining as the last one, always for good reasons of course.
It started with a trip to the sea (Costa de Caparica) on Monday afternoon. We arrived there right after lunch and we’ve spent many hours just walking on the beach and talking with each other, staring at the waves. There was something incredibly relaxing in looking at the rough sea, while we were comfortably sitting on the sand. I just recently realized how peaceful my mind becomes when I’m out in nature, in opposition to how it normally is during everyday life.
I had the same thought the day after (Carnival), when we went for a barbecue in Ponta dos Corvos. We ate our food quite late, so it was basically dinner, but the best part was probably staying close to fire to talk and drinking a beer. Isn’t it great how the simplest moment are the most enjoyable ones? I believe that there’s nothing more pleasant than admiring the fire while the weather is cold and raining. Maybe that’s where the secret of happiness resides.
At the office I started to do a manual about IntelliJ, my favorite IDE for programming with Java. I must say that I enjoy doing it, even though it can be a repetitive work after a while. It consists of making screenshots of parts of the software, pasting them on the google slide file and then explaining their functionalities.
On Friday we had a goodbye party for Simon (Slovakian one), where we had lunch all together and ate cake (I’m starting to like the Portuguese version of Tiramisù too much, my grandma wouldn’t be proud of me for that). The party then proceed to the volunteers house, where we had a few drinks together and shared one last evening with everybody.
The week ended with a practical afternoon in Almada Forum, since I had to buy a few things that I could find just there. I said practical, but it turned out to be enjoyable, too.
I guess this is all for this time, thanks for reading until the end and see you next week!!!
Beijinhos <3
