Bom dia everyone and welcome back to my blog!
It’s been a while since I last wrote it, there was a problem with the website so don’t blame it on me!
This week as been one of the busiest ones in my project. It started with a full day of preparation for the workshop that I had to do on Tuesday and Wednesday, I had to make some last minutes changes so all the work was packed up in three days. At the end I managed to organize it quite well, even though teenagers are a difficult public anyways. Something that I learned from this experience is definitely how tricky it is to keep the attention of a bunch of young people, all together in a small room: I’m starting to feel even more respect for my teachers in high school.
Because of this task, on Thursday I decided to enjoy some resting time at home while the other volunteers went to a party in Almada, as an introduction to the Liberation day. The day after I was feeling a little bit better so I managed to go out and participate to the parade in Lisbon… It was probably one of the days when I saw the biggest amount of people in the same place: Avenida da Liberdade was completely full.
After that I enjoyed the 26th, my birthday, in the office with a nice pizza with pineapple and in Lisbon meeting with my friends from Italy. The weekend then proceed in the most confusing way possible, I wanted to spend as much time as possible with them so I had to travel back and forth multiple time. I took them to see Bairro alto (with the elevator situated nearby), Pink street at night, the castle, the Pantheon, Belem, etc…
Overall it was a pretty good week, extremely energy draining, but rewarding for sure.
Thanks for reading and see you in seven days (hopefully)!
