What am I doing ?

Since I arrived here, I have been assigned various tasks. I have worked on video editing,
illustration for one of the “Imagina” videos, and social media content design, but in this article
I will focus on the project I am currently working on.

This project involves creating a box set of merchandise featuring personalities
who made their mark on Portuguese history during the Carnation Revolution in 1974.
The aim of this initiative is to pass on and preserve a part of Portugal’s history.

So what did I actually do?

This box set must contain the following items: a mug, a pin, a tote bag, and a tile. These items must feature
a portrait of the personality, stylized according to a graphic or illustrative concept that I had to come up with.
In addition to the portrait, the name must appear, along with a quote and a QR code linked to a video for which
I am responsible for both the aesthetic concept and the content itself. I then began to think about the appearance and shape of the box set. This project is currently in progress. We are still deliberating on the direction to take.

This project is very interesting for me as a designer. It is very similar to the projects I had to do at school.
You have to juggle several things, work with digital and physical materials, and the challenge is to find a concept
that is strong enough to make it work. In addition, it raises the question of the transmission of collective memory, which is a subject that particularly interests me and which I have reflected on during my schooling.
