These last few weeks things have started to get more serious, it’s time to design bigger things!
I designed a wooden key holder with a light. The truth is it took me more time than I intended since every time I thought it was finished, something could be improved or changed. Well, that’s how the design process works… Design, build, improve, improve, and improve… until it’s perfect! (Perfect in the eyes of whoever looks at it, actually)
I also designed a stand for a mini USB fan. There was already a previous design, but I made a new one. What I tried to do was make it more stable and durable, since the previous one was more prone to wear. I think I succeeded. The previous one was more innovative but less durable; this one is more durable but less innovative. Everything has its pros and cons.
For this, I learned to use a new program, Fusion (I had been wanting to learn it for a while, if I’m honest). Unlike Blender, this works with measurements and is much, much better for making more technical things. Until now, I had been doing calculations and lots of rule-of-three math to figure out proportions. I was only using the final global measurements that the Bambu Lab gave me…
Also, my French colleague discovered that not everything is sunshine in Portugal; this past week it has been raining, a lot!
On the Iberian Peninsula, we also have rain!

And that’s all for now. Until next time, and Happy Halloween! Or Happy Castanyada, as we celebrate in Catalonia!
