Ciao, I’m Roberta Carbotti.
I’m 24 years old and I come from Italy, precisely from Puglia, the “heel” of the boot.

About a month ago, I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Counseling in Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. At the same time, I am finishing a Master’s in Soft Skills and Emotional Intelligence at the University of Zaragoza in Spain.
My academic and professional journey has been shaped by education, emotional well-being, and ethnographic research, fields that have taught me how to observe, listen, and understand people within their everyday contexts.
I’ve just arrived in Portugal to begin a new experience I have been looking forward to for a long time. For me, every bem-vinda carries the idea of a new beginning — a possibility that opens up and a future that takes shape step by step. This opportunity is not just a change of country, but a chance to grow, explore different professional environments, and challenge myself in meaningful ways.

One of my main goals during this experience is to strengthen my hard skills, especially my digital competencies. I want to better understand how digital tools can support educational work and project design: from promoting conscious and responsible technology use to developing digital awareness initiatives. I believe that the worlds of education and digital innovation are not separate paths, but two dimensions that can enrich each other when combined with intention and creativity.
In this sense, the organization Rato is playing a key role in giving shape to my projects and professional aspirations. Here, I have found an environment that brings together intercultural education, technology, and social innovation while also offering the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. It is a context that values collaboration, curiosity, and the development of transversal skills, allowing me to imagine new directions for my future.

Integrating these fields means designing learning experiences that are more current, inclusive, and sustainable.
This journey in Portugal represents an important step toward that vision: a concrete opportunity to expand my skills, learn from a new context, and contribute with curiosity, motivation, and an open mind
