Hi, I am Jose Antonio, I’m 27 and I’m from Spain. I just arrived and will be here in Portugal for the next 9 months.
Having said the basics, I would like to tell you why I have decided to volunteer and the answer is simple, history repeats itself. A few years ago, when I was finishing my studies I decided that I needed to know what I wanted to do so I studied different subjects until I found the one that I liked, this worked for a while but last year i decided that i wanted to do more than just be in an office so i quit my job and started looking for new opportunities and this is how I discovered ESC and the opportunity to help with my effort and to discover a country that has always caught my attention. So I apllied for a place that they offer here in Rato, they selectecd me and a week later I am here starting this new project
I hope that my current skills and those that I will learn throughout these months will serve to help people.
So this is how my volunteer story begins, prepared to discover a new culture, learn and above all, live great experiences.
