This week I had an appointment with a doctor. It was very different from the ones I had in Poland. We went by car so it was a great opportunity to see some parts of Lisbon finally. I had a chance to see more beautiful views and architecture. I was so impressed that I took a lot of pictures for my family.
When we arrived at the clinic, we had to wear masks and sanitize our hands. After that, Monica(who is a member of rato) helped me with registration and payment and then I had to continue alone. I was told to wait a few minutes and then my number appeared so I entered the room with the doctor. We had a brief conversation and the doctor said it’s nothing serious. Then we had a chat about where I am from and what I am doing here during a pandemic. I answered all of her questions, she wished me luck and she said I am free to go. So I left and went back to Monica. On our way to the car I had a chance to see the famous Vasco da Gama Bridge and a small part of Parque das Nações.
What I learned in this short trip is that healthcare in Portugal is very expensive(!) but everyone in the clinic was very kind and ready to help.
It was nice to see something different after 1.5 months being stuck in our neighborhood. I enjoyed this trip a lot even though it was just a visit at a clinic. Ugh, what has the pandemic done to me?
