2 months of living in Portugal

It has been two months since my arrival in Portugal, and it is definitely not what I imagined. I knew that pandemic is not gonna disappear anytime soon but what I didn’t expect is being in a lockdown for at least 2 months. It wasn’t the best time in my life but I am very grateful that I am here and I can do something I like. At the same time, I can be useful doing interesting things such as writing posts for this blog. It is something I am doing for the first time in my life and I enjoy it a lot! Another thing is making videos. It is something I tried to do before but I feel I have improved a lot since the first times I did it. Also, I enjoy our Portuguese language lessons, the ones we had at school as well as the online ones.

Sadly I didn’t meet many people or see many places but I did notice a lot of differences between Poland and Portugal. I’m impressed by the architecture that is so different from the one I could see in Poland, kindness of citizens and the language. Also, I had a chance to go to Lisbon even though I came a few days before the lockdown started. Another (and the last) time was when I went to the heath clinic when I went to see a doctor.

I know Portugal is not a perfect country. It has ‘good’ and ‘bad’ sides, like every country in the world, but I can’t wait for the better time to come so I can finally get to explore the culture and meet the people.

Hopefully, we will be able to go back to Rato office soon as well as to school to have more Portuguese lessons and lunches.

Today we got a good news, from Monday we can go and grab a coffee! Portugal is finally starting to open slowly. Also, we should be able to go back to school in April and go back to the rato office in May! I’m looking forward to seeing the real Portugal where everything is open and we all can enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of it.
