Monya and Julia, my fellow travelers, accompanied me when we decided to visit Cristo Rei in Almada.
We opted for the bus to get closer to the monument.
Then we continued our journey on foot, climbing a looooot of steps and slopes. Once we reached the top of the path, we were able to observe Cristo Rei from behind, and even from this distance, we could see the size of the monument.
There is something “magical” about this place, in fact, besides the spiritual aspect of the place, you can be in both San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro, just looking in two different directions.
After enjoying the place, we made the decision to go to another location where we could experience the Golden Hour, a term that Julya taught me, and also enjoy a beautiful sunset in Ginjal.
We finally made it to the house by taking a taxi.
