The popular celebrations of Corroios, known as ‘Festas Populares de Corroios’ in Portuguese, are taking place this week.
As its name suggests, these are popular celebrations, bringing together several municipalities to meet people, enjoy music and shows and also enjoy lots of stands with countless specialities from elsewhere.
I was able to meet a Frenchman with a French cheese stand, we could exchange him and me on life in Portugal, and we agreed on one thing, it is good to live here.
After having exchanged for a long time, he offered me a cheese degustation, honestly, it had been a long time since I had eaten cheese as good.
I almost forgot about you talking about the parade of a Motorcycle Club which paraded in the middle of the place on their motorcycles, they had several flags and super stylish leather jacket (I do not know any more the name of the club, sorry…).
With Sarah, another volunteer, we decided to take a tour of all the stands, making the tour of the main square, we found a place in height allowing us to see all the exhibitors.
