Silver Anniversary of Rato ADCC

So, it has been long time I did not write here but I have valid excuses. One of them I am dealing my own real shits and the other was more pleasant thing: The 24^th Anniversary of RATO on the day 29^th of February. The title misleading but since the organization celebrates its anniversary every 4 years, we could consider as its silver anniversary which is normally celebrated for 25^th years of foundation.. I genuinely wanted to be here with the team and celebrate all together. We have been preparing for this since last year and last couple weeks were so busy. I was trying to finish my personal project, a cyborg computer (I will add a post later about it), which had been a real headache lately because of a few unique parts and my perfectionist attitude :/

Anyway, I will talk about the anniversary to leave a mark about this event that nobody wrote about yet. Yeah, I take action when I see an opportunity =)

Rato – ADCC founded in 2000 which is a perfect date to start an association that is related with IT with a beginning the second millenium, a period of one thousand years. Furthermore, you know what? We celebrate the anniversaries once every 4 years. I mean every year we are having a nice cake, but as long as I know, the big party is every 4 years on 29^th of February. As you know, the world is having an extra day every four years and that day is added into the calendars as 366. day instead of 365 days. 29^th February is that day. So, we had our 24^th anniversary this year with joy, many people and of course sugary foods, drinks, champagnes. Oh, and a huge bread =)

Also some gifts and beautiful lavender perfumed red cloves, symbol of the revolution that is luckily happened 50 years ago.. Another article is on the way about it..

What Rato has been doing needs great effort and open mind and heart that come with dedication. Touching people’s life to improve their lives to make better is a key in this field. Laura asked in the interview for the documentary if Rato – ADCC should be exist 24 more years or not? I said it should keep its existence at least 26 more years to complete 50 years and reach the GOLDEN anniversary. I cannot imagine how Nuno and Justyna will look like 26 years later hahah. I mean Justyna will maintain her perfect Polish genes and her humour for sure. I would love to share some pictures but will keep them for now. =)

By the way, you should watch the documentary. It is so fun and really a journey since day one of Rato. I cannot share the link for now since our Youtube channel got hacked and we still could not have it back. :/

On this day, we had many people from our partnering organizations, institutes, schools, former and recent volunteers and interns and many more. But I have to tell you that Monica was the most stylish person. =)
