I’m not quite sure how to begin…here’s how my week went…
On Tuesday we didn’t have portuguese classes so we spent the whole day in the office. On the other hand on Thursday Martins and I did something different: we went to the airport to get the last addition to our gruop, a new volunteer from Slovakia.
Friday I decided to wake up a little earlier to surprise Simon with crepes for his birthday, and even though the surprise didn’t fully work I still think he liked the gesture. But the celebrations didn’t end there because we also had cake with the people from the office and sang the portuguese version of “happy birthday”, which feels way too complicated compared to the english or italian one.
Saturday after work we decided, under Martins’ recommendation, to try the infamous Squid game burger at KFC, or at least the one of us that aren’t plantbased (including me). After dinner we introduced our new friend to Lisboa, had a couple of beers and walked around the city.
Sunday was pretty chill as well: Giulia and I went to the city in the afternoon, watched the sunset by Miradouro de Santa Luzia while having beer and listening to some pretty good live music. Before going home we concluded our outing with a burger (yes, another) from Dallas Burger.
Monday was even lazier as we spent it mostly at home doing nothing.
And once again (unfortunately for not too long now)…
