Dear Portugal,
nearly one month ago – I quit the project, left the house, left Rato and all my friends I won. Now I’m sitting in the libary of the University of Frankfurt and sending my last post. No! No! No! – This last post is more different than I thought before.
I turned back. Back to good old Germany. To functional public transport, funless people, Newspapers I like to read….and on and on. I missed my friends, the work in Rato, the people of Rato, the other volunteers, the sourrounding nearly everything I got during this year. At least a lot the language.
Espacially the last week in Portugal, where I went with some friends to the North. One week camping on the top of the mountains, in deep valleys or directly at the beach. This trip reflected greatfull moments I had during this year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now I’m sitting here and I am proud to say: Yes, I went to Portugal. Yes, it was a great time! I fall in love. Something like a long-distance relationship. It was a great time – probably the best time ever.
Now I am back. I am in Frankfurt. I am going to study at least three years. I am working, I got new friends, got to know a new city and try to make the world around. And thats the point. Not money makes the world around (Nuno will wonder! 😉 ) – The things you got makes the world around. For me this year in Portugal makes me around, makes me to a different person. Just people from Portugal can share that feeling. At the same time you’ve to continue to make the world around. With or without money.
For me: I’ll try to make the world around and better. The tools to do this I just (!!!) got in Portugal. Thank you all for giving this tools to me.
Portugal, Justyna&Nuno, other Volunteers, Rato, ANEVE… I miss you all. Let’s make the world arround and at least a great party with all volunteers.
Simple Plan:
Thank You!
With a lot of bjjjsssssssssssssss.
Felix (Fäliks)
