Sziasztok!
I`ve arrived to Portugal and I have to say it`s woow. It was woow also from the airplane when I saw the first view about the city above. And the sunshine… I had to miss a lot in our cold Hungarian winter. I came from snow to a single pullover wearing weather. Other differences? Hmm… maybe the temperature of Portuguese rooms. I`s no matter where you are, in a restaurant or your workplace or even in your own room. It`s freezing. But the way to find the practical solution is in progress. 🙂
Those were all woow as I sad and so the first impression at my new workplace. I wouldn`t say all these are cultural shock for me. I just found kind (and a bit depressed) people who all speak strange language. So far it was nice and exotic to hear. By this time it became a bit bothersome to join all the programs or even the breaks without understanding anything. Although sometimes I get translations it`s really difficult to control my patient. »Ok, Boglarka, this is the way how you`ll pick the meanings up soon or later« they sad. Hmmm.. later, it seems.
I had my birthday here after my first week in Portugal. I have to inform you dear public, the people here at RATO were so kind and caused me surprise with the restaurant, the cake and the nice gifts 🙂 Obrigada!
Na what else? ATTRACTIVE Lisboa. Colorful looking people. Fado. Others. Brazilians. Orange tree in the garden. Great volunteer mates.
That`s for now.
Beijo, beijo.
