What to do during weekends before 1 p.m. (covid´s rules)

Since a couple of weeks in Portugal  we were not able to go out of the house after 1 p.m. during weekends because of Covid. To be honest I thought that it would be a challenge for me to stay for so many hours inside but with Jose we figured it out and we decided to spend some time outside before 1 p.m. to not suffer later so much.  Another thing which is making that easier: Saturday is our working day so we have things to do. So there is only Sunday that is not so easy for us. Below I decided to share with you some proposals where you can go near having just 2-3 hours.

Park Da Paz – I think it is the biggest park around in Almada where you can walk or run with beautiful corners, ponds and places where you can take pictures of birds and other animals if you are lucky. I have been there three times and what I like the most is the place with big cork oak where there are two benches to sit just under the tree.

Casilhas – beautiful views, places to eat, drink. You can have a walk along the river until Jardim do Rio or have a chance to see views from Jardim do Castelo (yes, there is a castle in Almada)

Cova da Piedade – I have already written about this place in other post so I will just mention that there is a nice place to see some good street art.

Observatorio de aves – where you can observe birds and have a walk along the river on the beach.

During my last walk I discovered Núcleo da Olaria Romana da Quinta do Rouxinol and I hope it will be the next place I will check out.
