I have been in Portugal almost 2 weeks. At that time I was with other volunteers in Casilhas, Almada and Lisbon but today I want to tell you about my first independent trip.
Last Sunday I went to Odivelas for Polish mass .The ceremony was held on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Poland’s independence. The Eucharist was conducted by a priest from Poland and about 20 people attended. I was a little stressed because I was chosen to read the scriptures. It was my first time but I handled with it 🙂
After that, the priest invited everyone to traditional chestnus on the Saint Martin festival (Magusto). To drink was a wine liquer – jeropiga, which tastes great with chestnus. I am very happy because I celebrated Independence Day and also tasted Portugese specialites.
